Prize Draw Terms and Conditions: Merlo Multifarmer Telescopic Handler
1. Prize Description- The prize consists of the free use of a Merlo Multifarmer telescopic handler for 2025 (from mid January to mid December 2025) or for 1,000 recorded operating hours, whichever comes first.
- The machine features, 3-point rear linkage, rear mechanical PTO with hydraulic pick-up hitch. Exact machine specification to be confirmed.
- The machine is supplied with pallet forks, a bucket and muck fork and grab. Any additional attachments required will be the responsibility of the winner.
- The prize draw opens for entries on Wednesday 11th September and closes on Saturday 30th November 2024.
- The winner will be selected in a random draw on Tuesday 3rd December
- The prize draw is open to legal residents of Republic of Ireland who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and engaged in dairy/livestock farming activities.
- Employees of Merlo UK Ltd, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
- Maintenance: The winner is responsible for daily maintenance and care of the machine throughout the loan period.
- Insurance: The winner must arrange comprehensive insurance coverage for the machine, covering loss, theft, and damage. A copy of the insurance certificate must be provided to Merlo UK Ltd before the machine is delivered. The winner will bear all costs associated with any damage or loss, unless covered by insurance.
- Servicing: Merlo UK Ltd will cover the cost of routine servicing, which will be carried out by a local Merlo dealer appointed by Merlo. The winner must arrange timely servicing appointments when due.
- Repairs: Any repairs not covered by warranty must be carried out by the authorised Merlo dealer at the winner's expense unless otherwise agreed in writing by Merlo UK Ltd.
- Licensing: All operators of the machine must hold the appropriate licenses and certifications required by law.
- Use: The machine is to be used exclusively by the winner for their dairy/livestock farming activities. It may not be lent, rented, or contracted out to third parties.
- Telematics: The machine will be equipped with a Merlo Telematics system. The winner agrees to the collection and transmission of data related to the machine's operation and performance to Merlo UK Ltd.
- The winner will be notified via email within 5 days of the draw date.
- The winner must respond within 5 days of notification to claim the prize. Failure to respond within this time frame may result in the forfeiture of the prize, and Merlo UK Ltd reserves the right to select an alternate winner.
- The winner's name and location (e.g., town/county) may be announced on the Merlo Ireland website and/or Merlo Ireland social media platforms, subject to the winner's consent.
- Merlo UK Ltd, and Agriland Media reserve the right to interview the winner during and after the loan period. Any such interviews will be conducted at mutually agreed times. The winner consents to the use of their name, image, and any interview content for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
- Merlo UK Ltd and its affiliates are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property arising from the use of the machine during the loan period, except where such liability is caused by the negligence of Merlo UK Ltd.
- Merlo UK Ltd reserves the right to reclaim the machine at any time during the loan period should the terms and conditions be breached.
- Merlo UK Ltd reserves the right to terminate the loan early if the winner fails to comply with these terms and conditions or if unforeseen circumstances arise, such as the machine becoming unserviceable.
- By participating in the prize draw, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. The winner will be required to sign a formal loan agreement outlining the above responsibilities and liabilities before taking possession of the machine
- The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.
- UK Ltd reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or cancel the prize draw at any time without notice
